Famous Daft Punk Call it quits After 3 Decades of Glorious Music on a New Music Video Epilogue
It will be a sad day for music lovers out there as Daft Punk which is one of the most iconic and influential music duos over the past couple of decades where they have announced their retirement lately in a video on Youtube with the title Epilogue as the duo announced that they were splitting and.
As per report by Variety, their publicist confirmed that Daft Punk is breaking up and there are no further details on future plans at the moment and the individual behind the helmets are planning to pursue their solo music making careers and the “Epilogue” begins with a scene from the group’s 2006 film “Electroma”, where Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo walk around the desert (in their helmets, of course).
For now, there isnt any news on the two French music producer as Bangalter and de Homem-Christo met in school during their teenage years in the 80s, and after initially forming a rock band called Darlin’, the group rebranded to Daft Punk after a negative review called one of their songs “daft punky trash”.
The group later embarked on a musical journey across three decades and they have collaborated with a number of notable artists since including the Weeknd, although Random Access Memories remains the duo’s most recent album.
