Indian Man Sells Mop With Fluent Mandarin and Hokkien in S’pore Heartlands
Recently a video on an Indian salesman who speaking fluent Mandarin and Hokkien has got an attention of a lot of netizens during his live demonstration of selling the product which blown people away. The video which were uploaded to Facebook on 21 February has been shared more than 1,000 times after a day.
In the video of four and half minute where he demonstrates through selling the mop and he provides step by steps instruction in a mix of Mandarin and Hokkien language and he even mentions some catchy lines such as “If you buy my mop back, you open it up like a flower, you put it on the floor, sweep and mop at the same time.”

At one point the salesman told the crowd in Hokkien to abandon the old fashion mop and it was shocking that Indian people can speak Mandarin and as society has changed, it is time to change your mop too. From the video, it is clearly show that the crowd were amused by the salesman and it can be heard they are ooh-ing and aah-ing, as the mop was twisted, pushed and pulled, to show its versatility and utility to its fullness.
