Limbang Shopping Centre Revamp Will have More F&B Option and Set Open in 2022
The Residents of Choa Chu Kang will be familiar with Limbang Shopping Centre where it is known for its distinctive Peranakan inspired shop archways and roof, and it is also a popular place for resident to have a day out and enjoy dining here.
However, the complex will be set to become more popular with it current undergoing revamp, and it will give way to a wider array of shops, foods and beverages. All residents can look forward to the upgraded mall being completed by the 3rd quarter of 2022 and in 2019, Limbang Shopping Centre wasn’t too shabby where they have 33 shops, a food court, wet market and supermarket too.
In Sep 2019, Mr Lawrence Wong, MP for Marsiling-Yee GRC, announced in a speech that the shopping centre would be upgraded in 2020. According to the building developer CPG Consultants, the new Limbang Shopping centre will incorporate a Peranakan shophouse facade in the design so the shopper can still relive the old days.
The Visitor will be able to walk through the new landscaped gardens to access the shop facing the road too. And the company has also received a Certificated of Merit for Design at the HDB Design Awards 2020 on the project. On the poster, the estimated time for upgrading work would be completed in 3rd quarter of 2022, however due to the project construction were started 3 months late, Mr.Wong had said that the timeline had to be pushed back.
