Budget 2021: $100 Hawker Centre Vouchers, $200 Cash payment for Eligible Singaporeans
All eligible Singaporeans will receive an additional $200 GST Voucher on top of their regular GST Voucher Cash payment where this payout will be a one off payment called the GST Voucher – Cash Special Payment for lower and middle incomes household on benefiting 1.4 million Singaporeans, and it will be paid in June 2021.
This announcement were made by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat on parliament as a part of the 2021 Budget. It is a part of the new Household Support Package which will help household tide over the uncertain economic situation and the Household Support Package will cost about $900 million.
As a part of this Household Support Package, an eligible household will also receive a GST Voucher – U Save Special Payment that will give you utulities rebates bteween $120 and $200 in 2021. In addition, the Service and Conservancy Charges Rebate for an eligible household were also extended for another year, and it will benefit about 950,000 household, offsetting between 1.5 and 3.5 months of Service and Conservancy Charges. While the families with Singaporean children below age of 21 will receive an additional top up of $200 per child in their Child Development Account, Edusave Account or Post Secondary Education Account.
Lastly, each Singapore household will also receive $100 worth of Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers.
