Chinese Netizen Claims Korean Hanbok Outfit Belongs to Chinese
The Chinese people versus the Korean People have been having some rivalry in the past when it comes to some costume clothing. As the South Korean celebrity Kim So Hyun posted a picture of herself wearing a hanbok in the new drama “River Where the Moon Rises” she did expect that there will be a feud between Chinese and Korean internet users.
In her post where she wishes her followers a Happy Lunar New Year and some Chinese user claimed that the Korean traditional costume she is wearing is a Chinese costume which is known as hanfu and not hanbok. These Chinese user also accused South Korea for being thieves on the hanbok.
Previously in 2018, a Chinese netizen also started something bizarre when Supermodel Liu Wen wishes her Instagram follower Happy Lunar New Year instead of Happy Chinese New Year and later she changed her caption to the latter where the Chinese Instagram user also took issue with the earlier picture that Kim posted of herself wearing a costume from the drama.
A popular YouTuber and makeup artist, Park Hye Min who is known as Pony also come under fire from these Chinese netizen after she posted a video of herself wearing a hanbok for a Korean traditional wear makeup look where the weibo users accused her of wearing a Chinese costume and a Chinese hairpin called zan which were bought from the taobao platform to promote the Korean culture.
In the past there has been feud over traditional costumes when it comes to these Chinese and South Korean community.
