The Chinese New Year are just around the corner and now where the festive truly begin with the streets of Singapore are dressed up with attention grabbing lanters, life size installation and more. Here are some of the cool places where you can capture yourself some nice memories of Chinese New Year this round.

 

Chinatown

With the 880 meter stretch along Eu Tong Sen Street and New Bridge Road where it is all decorated up with 888 bright lit lanterns where it has meaningful new year symbols such as pomelos, blossom trees and ingots. Plus you can find the 12 illuminated zodiac animal along the South Bridge Road too and the towering 10-meter tall ox centerpiece which is located opposite Chinatown Point.

River Hongbao

Everyone the Iconic River Hongbao will transfer the Float@Marina Bay into a vibrant, cultural festive place where this year, there will be the Gardens illuminate with 24 kaleidoscopic lanterns set in the shape of peacocks, butterflies and 12 zodiac animals. Where you can even spot a 18-meter tall of God of Fortune here.

With the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre where the car park to be exact has brought together art and technology to spotlight the Chinese culture in Singapore as you can enjoy the comfort of a four-wheeler helmed by driver at the exhibition while you learn abut the ox’s cultural significance through the digital masterpieces of eight local artists including Almostasthma, André Wee, Antz, Puffingmuffin, and Mithra which have been transformed into 3D art installations, selfie filters, and augmented reality murals.

Lego Festive Carnival

To all Lego Fans, Southeast Asia’s largest Lego Festive Carnivals continues into the Lunar New year with refreshed installation to mark the new beginning of the year of Ox where you can find themed installation across 13 CapitaLand malls including Plaza Singapura, Tampines Mall, Junction 8, and Funan with these whimsical scene which are entirely build out of Lego.

The ION Orchard is kicking off the Chinese New Year with gorgeous decor inspired by the vibrant colours of Chinese culture and also the noble traditional lion dance and there will be a multimedia Seasonal Light Show too.
