Chinatown With Packed Crowds Appear over Weekend With Zero Social Distancing

Over the last weekend, thousands of people has appeared at Chinatown like the Covid-19 has no longer a thing as the crowds appear here are wearing face mask but mostly failed to keep the 1 m apart from each other and there was not much personal space left also. The crowd were expected to diminish this year as the regular celebratory event have been called off and The Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng Citizens’ Consultative Committee in November 2020 has canceled the Chinese New Year bazzar to prevent people from congregating however, from the huge crowd appear, there was only one shop in the area was seen enforcing SafeEntry protocol while the rest were either paid short shift to the regulation or could not manage the crowds.

With the size of crowd appearing here, a team of 10 safe distancing ambassadors were facing difficulties in trying to manage the crowds too and reinforcement were called in to help manage the sheer number of people passing through.
