Indian State Change Name of Dragon Fruit So It is Not Linked to China
The government of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Home state of Gujarat has decided to change the name of the dragon fruit as they find that the original is associated with China. India and China is currently locked in military standoff along with the war of Himalayan border, where in respond to the death of 20 of New Delhi troops in June by banning the Chinese made app and curbing imports.
The Gujarat government has decided that the world of dragon fruit is not appropriate where in the Hindi it is a symbol of Modi’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), where the development comes after a few months as Modi had praised farmers ina radio programme where the dragon fruit in the region of Kutch in Gujarant where they suggested on changing the name of the dragon fruit to kamalam. There are more than 200 farmers in Kutch alone who are growing dragon fruit over 1,500 acres, said Haresh Thakkar, a farmer from the region. Where the new Indian name of the fruit will bring more happiness to them.
