It is no secrets as many foreigners prefer Asian countries for vacation and jobs due to the destination here are cheap. As the Indonesian authorities has come out with a rather creative punishment for foreigners who forget to wear face mask when going out and as paying the fines are somehow too easy for them. The chief of Bandung Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara shared that foreign nationals who bring their mask along but didn’t wear them are now subjected to doing push ups and sweeping the streets as punishments.

Where with the recent operation which there are around 150 offenders caught in the operation and 80 per cent are foreigners. As the foreigner nationals in Indonesia believe that the fines do not affect them therefore, the foreigners caught not wearing mask are mostly from Russia and Europe. While the fine for now wearing a face mask in Indoneisa is IDR100,000 (USD7.13).

Foreign nationals are violating the health protocols as if it is nothing in their eyes, and sometimes they will laugh as they do the push ups or other social punishments.
