China Harbin Snow and Ice Festival Transformed into a Breathtaking Winter Wonderland
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, China’s annual Harbin Snow and Ice Festival is up and running where it takes places in the city of Harbin with around 200,000 cubic of meters ice and snow are carved from the Songhua River to build the intricate works of art. This festive are so majestic and beautiful.
This festival begins first in 1963 and got interrupted due to China’s Cultural Revolution and resumed in 1985. And around 400 construction workers and farmers will work day and night to build this festival’s ice and structures. Where this festival land covers about 750,000 square meters. Here you can find ice palace, crystal palace, ice bar and even aircraft carrier.
Although many activities couldn’t be held as per usual, visitors can buy tickets provided they get their temperatures checked, wear masks, and socially distance.
