Rich People Afraid of Covid-19 Boughts All Seats in Plane to Bali

by Kyle Chen January 11, 2021

Rich People Afraid of Covid-19 Bought All Seats in Plane to Bali

(Indonesia, Jakarta, 8th) A rich man in Jakarta was worried about contracting the epidemic and proudly chartered a plane to Bali! Richard, a 32-year-old socialite, posted on Instagram on Monday (4th) that he and his wife, Sha Wei, decided to charter a flight because of the “super panic” coronavirus.

“We must make sure that there are no other people on the plane. If there are other people on the plane, we will not take that flight.”

“After I booked all the seats, I found it was cheaper than renting a private jet.”

He uploaded photos of the empty seats next to him on the Internet, and said with a smile, “This is life tricks#lifehacks”, which aroused heated discussion among netizens. According to a report by Indonesian media Detik, Lion Air Group spokesperson Darao said that Richard was a passenger on Batik Air’s ID-6502 flight, which departed from Jakarta to Denpasar in the afternoon of Monday (4th).

“There is only one booking code and there are two passengers.”

It is understood that the flight can accommodate 12 business class passengers and 150 economy class passengers.

“Coconuts Bali” estimates that Richard may have spent between 75 million rupiah (about 22,000 ringgits) and 110 million rupiah (about 31,732 ringgits) to book a complete flight. Just in case you didn’t know, Richard is the grandson of pharmaceuticals magnate Kartini Muljadi (she’s ranked #42 in Forbes’ 2020 list of 50 richest Indonesians, with a net worth of US$620 million).
