by Brian Chan September 27, 2019

Those people who are taking the East-West Line needs to take note on this announcement. There will be 10 MRT station on East-West Line that will be closed on Friday & Saturday.

But worry not as they will only be closed down earlier at 11PM for Friday & Saturday from 11th Oct – 14th Dec 2019. Not the whole day down la …. phew…

If you’re wondering why the closure, this is because there is a maintenance works and the renewal of power supply system along the Green Line for the next 3 months. So in short this maintenance is just to ensure that you will have a better experience on the train la.

According to an announcement on SMRT’s website, there will be early closure at 7 stations between Clementi and Tiong Bahru at about 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays in Oct & Nov. The 3 other stations are between Simei to Pasir Ris will also closed earlier at 11pm in Dec.

If you’re impacted by this early close down, then here is the alternative that you can take if you need a ride.

During the early closures in October and November 2019, Shuttle Bus Service 1 will be available to maintain connectivity for commuters travelling between Jurong East and Outram Park stations. For the early closures in December 2019, Shuttle Bus Service 7 will connect commuters between Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris station.  The buses will serve designated bus stops near the affected MRT stations. Details are as below

Else if you think it’s very hassle, then easiest would be just Grab/Gojek 😂😂

So make sure you take note on this and if you’re the night owler out there, take note of this and don’t silly silly go to the train station.
