New Punggol HDB Will Have A New Smart Parking System With Indicators For Empty Lots
Parking can be rather frustrating all the time especially when you are slightly late for work. As the Housing Development Board (HDB) may be able to solve these problems with their latest smart parking solution at a new Punggol HDB estate. On 4 Jan 2021, this new system which features a gantry-less entry and exit as well as indicator which has LED lights.
With this new system, motorist will no longer have to wait for the reader to scan their IU and let them pass, no more fishing around for a cash card either. Where instead of motorist are encourages to download the Parking@HDB for alternative payment options. As you aren’t required to leave a cash card for the IU for deduction and as for the LED parking indicator, the green lights indicates there is a lot available, while an amber lights indicates a season parking lot as evening comes, the HDB will switch the empty lots to amber light to increase the number of season parking lots.
Smart cameras in the car park will also notify the drivers where they are parked in an unauthorized lot.
