With the recent cases of coronavirus infection where now globally has having continuously growing new cases. As the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United Stated has been closely monitoring the situation in the country, and they even found some interesting discovery as facial hair would reduce the effectiveness of the filtering face piece respirators as it are unable to cover the face completely while the facial hair has chance to allow the virus to breed and stay there.
This is important because respirators are only effective when it is in an airtight fitting protection seal while facial hair can get the opposite effect. So it does sound logic for sure and perhaps for the sake of your loved ones, please avoid having facial hair for the moment.
