Huge Crowd appear at Ang Mo Kio School Uniform store, as Police Deployed to Ensure Safe Distancing
As all parents are starting to get ready their children for the new school year, now parents are scrambling to get their kids fitted with a new school uniform before 4 January 2021. On Tuesday, 29 December, some of these parents formed a huge crowd right outside a uniform store at Ang Mo Kio, as to worries everyone safety, police were later deployed into the scene to ensure everyone safety by practicing a proper distance.
According to The Straits Times, parents has started appearing at the uniform store at Jeep Sing Fashion in Ang Mo Kio as early as 8am, before the shop opens at 10 am. Later on 6 police officers were deployed at the site and ensuring everyone is stood at least 1 m apart and encouraging some to leave too, which eventually left 70 people who manage to secure the queue number in line.
Parent seems frustrated at the situation, but the store had informed the customer to not make a trip down as the queue number for the day has been issued and frustrated parents also took to Facebook to lament about the situation. Jeep Sing Fashion then apologize for the inconvenience incident as Keep Sing Fashion alone carries the uniform of 38 schools which excluded the kindergartens. They are currently trying their best to sort out the massive surge in demands for their uniforms in terms of the current e-commerce and physical sales.
