Burger King Japan Launch Spicy Yakuyoke Whooper to Ward off Evil In Japan
Burger King has really been doing differently here in Japan as lately, with their plant-based Whopper to Extreme burger with meat for buns, now they are rounding off this year with an epic limited edition of Burger which can ward off evils due to the whole disaster hitting the world wide.
Introducing the Spicy Yakuyoke Whopper where prayers of temple monks imbue this spicy burger with all the protection you need for the New year’s arrival of 2021. As the Japanese word of Yakuyoke or apotropaic means to ward off evil or protect against misfortune. Which the new commercial for this Spicy burger shows Burger King staff attending a Yakuyoke service at a temple where a monk is chanting by fire to imbue a burger with its protective power.
This burger where it has a flamed grilled beef patty with special spicy sauce, garlic flakes with cheese, pickles, onion, tomato, and lettuce. The evil-fighting garlic is said to be so strong that customers will receive a free Yakuyoke Mint to cleanse the palate after eating the burger.
The Spicy Yakuyoke Whopper will only be available for a very limited time, from 25-28 December, priced at 780 yen (US$7.53) on its own or 1,080 yen as part of a set with medium fries and a medium-sized drink.
