An Abandoned Kampung Relic Found In Chestnut Nature Park

If you ever wonder about how the old days Singaporean’s were living out, then you might want to check out this old abandoned Kampung Hit Hidden within the Mandai Forest at Chestnut Nature Park.

This hut or kampungs where people used to live in attap house were before the HDB flats started to spring up like mushrooms around Singapore. Where these days, the only kampung left is in Buangkok and somehow, someone manages to find another abandoned kampung hut here in the Mandai forest around Chestnut Nature Park which is a worn-down hut likes in the middle of the forest area, with a well and some structures see have gone through lots of days.

The hut although was build at least centuries ago, was still nicely intact together and the inside house was now only left with debris and dirt. So for those who wanted to know and learn about the past history culture of kampung attap house, you might want to check it out with a group of friends and remember to preserve this historical site as how it suppose to be. But there were rumors mentioned that the hut is currently covered with tape to block off its entrance to the site, so perhaps you can proceed and witness this hut from far.
