Mandarin Orchard S’pore Suspend Operations Till 1 Jan 2021 After 13 SHN Guest Tested Positive
Mandarin Orchard Singapore Hotel along the Orchard Road has been ordered to suspend operation for 2 weeks until 1st January 2021 after 13 guests who tested positive for the coronavirus during their Stay-Home Notices (SHN) has been found to have the high genetic similarity on these 13 imported cases arriving from different countries.
The 13 cases which had reported serving their SHN’s at Mandarin Orchard Singapore between 22 Oct and 11 Nov, as for the precautionary purpose, all guest will be required to do a progressively check out of the hotel and moved to dedicated facilities, as the hotel now is undergoing deep cleaning and disinfection.
500 of the hotel’s staff will also be tested for coronavirus including those who have served the SHN guest. And MOH also urges those who have stayed at the hotel between 11 Nov and 19 Dec to keep close on their health for 14 days.
