Volunteer Use SingapoRediscover Vouchers to Help Homeless Man Book Hotel room while Waiting Rental Flat
As most of the Singaporeans now might be spending their $100 SingapoRediscover voucher on staycation and fun attractions however a group of volunteers welfare organization Mummy Yummy has been using their voucher in a different way, where they choose to help the needy.
As one of the men, J who is currently doesn’t have a place to stay while he is waiting for his HDB flat to allocated him a rental flat where the Mummy Yummy told that J will likely to receive his flat in around 2 months later and being homeless at the moment, these volunteers put their heads together and manage to come up with an idea to use their voucher to help J out.
By using 3 vouchers, the volunteers booked a 9 day stay for J at RedDoorz Premium@Serangoon. As the voucher cannot be stacked, therefore each voucher was used to book a different room for 3 days for S$114.75, S$126.65, and S$93.50, and the balance being top up by cash.
This is indeed a love caring team from Mummy Yummy who have discovered a better way to spend the vouchers to help those who are in need. Kudos to Mummy Yummy where they are going the extra mile to help to in need, can’t imagine when you don’t have a place to stay and might be sleeping in the park or some hidden spot for 2 months just to wait for your rental unit to be ready.
