Whatsapp will stop Supporting iOS 8 and Andriod 4.0.3 or below starting from 2021
As one of the communication software used by most users in the world, WhatsApp will release new versions for users to update almost every month, and every new version will be accompanied by new features or security and privacy updates.
According to the latest news, mobile phones still running the old system may face a situation where WhatsApp cannot be used. These include old versions of Android phones and old versions of iOS phones.
In terms of the iOS system, WhatsApp supports iOS 9 at least. This also means that iPhone user who is still using iOS 8 or lower and older versions may not be able to use WhatsApp. The affected iPhones include iPhone 4 or lower and older iPhone versions. As for iPhone 4S, 5S, 6, and 6S, they need to be updated to iOS 9 or later to continue using WhatsApp.
On the Android system, Android users who are still running Android 4.0.3 or older versions may not be able to use WhatsApp. Affected Android phones include HTC Desire, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Droid Razr, Samsung Galaxy S2, and so on. Therefore, users of the affected Android or iOS systems, remember to update the system version or change their phones~
