S’pore and Vietnam coming to finalize on Green Lane Arrangement by Early 2021
Singapore and Vietnam will come to a quick conclusion on the discussion regarding reinstating regular commercial return flights between the 2 countries by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Tuesday, 15 December. As both the Greenlane will facilitate essential business and official travel among 2 countries. Singapore will be the 1st among other countries to resume the regular essential business and official travel with Vietnam.
The MFA statement was released after the 13th Singapore-Vietnam Bilateral Consultation which was held via video conference on 15 December by MFA’s Permanent Secretary Chee Wee Kiong and Vietnam’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung affirmed: “the excellent state” of the strategic partnership between both countries.
They both also expressed appreciation for the mutual support given in the time of the current pandemic and this will facilitate the citizen from both countries to return home, sharing information, and mutual contribution of medical supplies, equipment, trade, investment, finance, transport, labour, food and agriculture, technical assistance, as well as defence and security.
