TraceTogether Token Aren’t Mandatory For Students When School Reopen
As we are entering Phase 3 soon, while the TraceTogether token is diligently using for better contract tracing, somehow parents might be worries if these token are required for their young ones once the school starts in 2021. The Minister of State for Education, Sun Xueling has announced that as the school reopens in January, all TraceTogether tokens are not necessary for students to enter school yet. As the Trace Together token is only needed in school when national and all tokens have been giving out.
As of 4 January 2021, all school will reopen while Junior College and Millenia Institute will reopen alter on 29 January 2021 which MOE’s guidelines stated that all individuals aged 7 and above must use either the TraceTogether app or token in schools, which Ms. Sun reminded comes as MOE initially announced the mandatory use of TraceTogether token by December but quickly clarified that it will only be implemented when the distribution is completed and MOE also added that a student will not be denied to enter school if they forget or misplace their token.
