You can Watch Jupiter and Saturn Merge on 21 Dec at Nighttime
On 21 December, as the night of the Winter Solstice, Jupiter and Saturn will align and merge in our night skies where this event of the 2 planets will be closest together for the last 4 centuries. According to The Straits Times, Jupiter and Saturn will seem as they were merging together in our skies on 21 December night.
On a clear night, these 2 planets will be seen as a white dot in the sky and as they 2 merge together it will form a brilliantly bright double planet effect in the sky which is known as The Great Conjunction, and the past ever happens this event were since 1623 which is just 0.1 degree apart.
The ideal time to observe this should be around 8 pm on 21 December where you will have 30 minutes of window gap to watch this phenomenal effect, and you should look towards the western and southwestern part of the sky, as this conjunction, you can see with the naked eye but using binoculars and telescope will enhance the viewing experience.
