Borders Open For Taiwan Visitor Starting From 18 December onwards
Singapore will be lifting the border restriction for visitors from Taiwan starting 18 December as the announcement made by Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS) on Friday, 11 December. Where Taiwan has displayed a successful control over the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Which there have been 0 reported new cases of Covid-19 in Taiwan for the past 28 days.
However, for Taiwan visitor to enter Singapore, they still need to follow the rules such as
- Air Travel Pass (ATP) must be applied in order to enter Singapore after 18 December
- The visitor must remain in Taiwan for the past 14 days to prior to the entry
- Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test must be taken upon arrival at Singapore’s Airport
Which if the result is negative, they will be allowed to continue with their normal activities here in Singapore without serving Stay-Home Notice and visitors can also apply for the single entry ATP with no charges between 7 – 30 days prior to their intended date of entry into Singapore.
Meanwhile for Singapore citizen, permanent residents and long term pass holder returning from Taiwan, they will be required to undergo the Covid-19 PCR test upon arrival and also a 7 days SHN with covid-19 PCR test before the end of the SHN period is required too, while if they tested negative for Covid-19 test, they will be allowed to go on their activities here in Singapore.
Currently, CAAS has approved 9,284 applications for visitors from countries such as Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Mainland China, New Zealand and Vietnam and so far all visitor who arrived in Singapore under the ATP test has shown the negative result for Covid-19.
