M’sian Grandma Lose around Rm300,000 ($99,000) by Keeping Her Money in Steel Canister

M’sian Grandma Lose around Rm300,000 ($99,000) by Keeping Her Money in Steel Canister

If you arent is aware, there are still old folks who believe in saving their own money in their old traditional way which is keeping this money in those steel canisters or steel can instead of putting them into the bank instead. Where on a recent post by Penang Big News, where a viral cause of a video where a netizen shared a story that her grandmother who reported nearly have RM300,000 list by storing her money in those empty milo can and it was destroyed by that pest which invaded these storage tin cans.

In the video, it can be seen that a few bundles of the RM100 notes can be seen scattered on the floor which some of them can be seen already destroy. While on each stack of these rm100 notes, there are around Rm10,000. Therefore there is around a total of 23 stacks.

While to put things in a better perspective, actually each bundle holds around up to rm15,000 ($5,000) to RM20,000 ($6,500)  which means there is around RM30,000 ($10,000) to RM40,000 ($13,000) per bundle and that is quite a lot of money gone there after being attacked by that pest. Hopefully, the grandma can still take the damaged note to claim back from the bank. Therefore, if you happen to have some grandparents who are still using this way, perhaps you should all advise them that it is unsafe and can cost huge damage.
