Singapore 1st World Regulatory Approved Lab-Grown Meat
Eat Just has just started offering lab-grown chicken meat in Singapore after they have successfully gained regulatory approval from Singapore Food Agency (SFA) where this cell-cultured chicken will be produced under Eat Just’s new Good Meat brand through their partnership with local manufacturers and will be on sale to restaurants first before it will be available to consumers.
While currently there are a few more companies that are working on lab-grown meat using various techniques, as Eat Just is the only one that manages to gain the approval of the World-1st Singapore. As this process of meat was produced out by no chicken were killed in the cell line to produce the cultured meat, instead, the process starts with cell isolation where the cell is sourced through the technology that can include a biopsy from live animals.
The company has gone through a 20 production run of the cell-cultured chicken in their 1,200-liter bioreactor to prove the consistency of the manufacturing process and no antibiotics were used during the process.
So perhaps, we will be seeing soon on this Lab-Grown meat soon in markets and also available for us to purchase soon in the future.
