Rainy Season Will Last Till Mar 2021 Thanks to La Nina
The weather this month has been kinda cold and hot with heavy rain and airconditioned weather well, those who love cooler weather can rejoice now as the climate phenomenon known as La Nina will make the cold breezy weather last till Mar 2021. Where La Nina will increase more rain and unusual falling across South-east Asia.
Now don’t mistake La Nina for El Nino as they are total opposite where La Nina often has the opposite effect — as the surface winds are stronger than usual, most of the tropical Pacific Ocean is cooler than average. The cold pool of seawater causes the sinking of air in the atmosphere which then moves westward towards the western Pacific, including Southeast Asia.
The last time a strong La Nina occurred was in 2010-2011. There was also a moderate La Nina in 2011-2012.
So for those who love this weather, but somehow do remember to bring your raincoat and pocket umbrella if you don’t want to get caught in this sudden rain where it measures the average sea surface temperature anomaly in the region from 5°N to 5°S and from 170°W to 120°W.
