8 Great Ways To Maximize and Organized your Gmail Inbox to Improve your Productivity

We all have Gmail for a certain reason and it is one of the world’s largest email platforms, however with all the emails we are receiving in our daily life, it might be slowing our daily tasks down daily. However, with these few easy steps or guides, your life might be much easier and will get a better improvement for sure after this.

Getting started 

To change your Gmail setting, tap the cog-shaped icon on the top right hand of your corner screen with a gear-alike icon. Where it will bring you to a quick settings menu and click on the See all settings box where you can find full access to all settings on your gmails.

 

Set up a reading panel

Reading panels give you customization over how you wanted your emails can be read by you alongside your standard inbox view. To make these changes to your Gmail, head to your settings, then select the “Inbox” tab along the top of your screen. Now scroll down to see the “Enable reading pane” option. Check this and select where you’d like the pane to appear and you can choose to have a permanent panel or split panel mode.

 

Enable desktop notifications for Gmail

If you don’t want to miss out on important emails then you should enable your Gmail’s desktop notification where you will be alert every time when you have a new email coming in.

 

Activate the unread message icon

If you dislike the notifications alert or keep popping up on your screen, then check out his unread message alert icon where you will be getting an amount of unread or new emails coming in your gmails.

 

Create a group email list 

This handy tool provides you some serious time saving as you can easily know which group or categories of people are sending your new email and also saving you a lot of time when you wanted to dig back to some previous email differentiate by group categories. And you can even drag and drops your contact into the listed-label too.

 

Create useful templates in Gmail

With more than 50 Gmail templates you can set up into your Gmail, and you can find these features under  the “General” tab, click on “Advanced.” Click to enable. And then you can click the click the three dots “More” menu at the bottom right of your compose window. Land on “Templates,” then select “Save draft as a template.” Now you just need is to give the template an easily recognizable name and to use your template, open a new compose email pop-up, click the three dots menu and “Templates” again, and select the name of your template from the next menu screen that appears.

 

Make the most of email labels 

You can label your new look of your gmails by creating labels for your emails on such as work, personal or others plus you can even change the colour of it for an easier detection from you.

 

Activate Gmail keyboard shortcuts 

To see a full list of shortcuts that you can now use, take a look at Google’s handy guide to all the shortcuts that currently work in the email service.

 

Use Auto-Advance to speed through your inbox

You dealt with quickly, activating auto-advance is a great way to speedily work through your new emails. To activate this, head to your settings, then the “Advanced” tab under “General”, and toggle it on.
