Disney Decided To Lay Off 32,000 Of Workers in 2021
Disney Los Angeles has announced that they will cut 32,000 jobs in 2021 after its US THeme parks division announced it in September regarding the same issue earlier. This is due to the struggles with the current pandemic and social restrictions.
With this major shift, which is changing the environment in which how they were used to operate compared to the current environment where the major of the terminations would be in Parks, Experience and products sector which Disney employs around 37,000 employes where placed on furlough from October 3 while 203,000 people were employs globally with 20% of part-time workers.
The move comes on the heels of Disney’s US$4.7 billion loss in the most recent quarter.
