Remember to bring your own Grocery or Shopping Bag as Watson Start to Charges for $0.10 for plastic bags on Every Tuesday (Starts from 1st December 2020 onwards)
If you are doing shopping at Watsons a lot, then you must be aware that starting from 1st December onwards, Watsons will be charging all their customer for $0.10 per plastic bag every single Tuesday. This new system was to focus on minimizing plastic bag waste and encouraging more customers to go towards the most nature-friendly way.
The retailer said in a press release on Wednesday (Nov 25) that customers will be charged S$0.10 for “every transaction involving a request for plastic bag(s)” on Tuesdays. All proceeds will be donated to support the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)-Singapore’s conservation efforts.
However, if you happen to forget about bringing your plastic bag then you can still purchase Watson’s specially design reusable bag too for $1.20 only.
