Argentina’s Diego Maradona which is known as one of the world’s greatest footballers has died of a heart attack on Wednesday. He leads Argentina to win the 1986 World Cup and adored Italy after taking Napoli to 2 Serie A titles which makes him so famous in the past.
Maradona, 60 who has recently battled health issues and underwent emergency surgery for subdural hematoma several weeks ago and he suffered a heart attack at his home in the outskirts of Buenos Aires on Wednesday. In Argentina, the government has declared three days of mourning as President Alberto Fernandez mentioned in his tweet that “Maradona took us to the highest glory point of the world and made us all immensely happy, Thank you for having been with us, Diego. We will miss you all our lives. !”
Maradona has scored 34 goals in 91 appearances for Argentina, representing them in four World Cups. Maradona led his country to 1990 final in Italy, where they were beaten by West Germany, before captaining them again in the United States in 1994. Brazil legend Pele led tributes to Maradona, writing on Twitter: “What sad news. I lost a great friend and the world lost a legend.
