STB@Pokemon Go To Promote Local Tourism Boost on Singapore Rediscovers Campaign
Now Pokemon Go players in Singapore will have 300 new locations where you can enjoy meeting or capture Pokemon, virtual raids as a part of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Niantic (The American developed of Pokemon GO) as a part of boosting the SingapoRediscovers campaign on Thursday 12 Nov.
With the new Pokemon Go locations or PokeStops and Gyms which can be available at hotels, attractions, retailers, food, beverages establishment, and more across Singapore, where these major locations are located in the 10 precincts which are Changi and East Coast, Chinatown, the Civic District, Joo Chiat and Katong, Kampong Glam, Little India, Mandai and Kranji, Marina Bay, Orchard Road as well as Sentosa.
With these new features, when a player arrives at the Pokemon Go location, they will see an in-app banner as a part of the SingapoRediscovers Campaign which by tapping on the banner, players will be able to view the promotions available at the tourism and lifestyle establishments. This initiative came as a part of tourist arrivals and tourism spending in Singapore plummeted following travel restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19.
