Secure Website won’t be Supported by Older Android Phones Starting Sept 2021
It might be hard to let go of some of your old phones which you are using today if they are still functioning nicely, however, you might have to force to upgrade to a better version soon as according to Android Police, Certificate Authority Let’s Encrypt where they have mentioned that Andriod version before 7.1.1 Nougat will have a problem on their root certificate starting in 2021 which will lock the user out of many secure websites.
This is due to the default cross-signing certificate which enables the security functions will drop this old android platform. Let’s Encrypt has data which are showing that around 33.8% of Andriod user is still running on a version older than 7.1 which some hardware vendors have cut-off supports already.
