$500 Payout For Household Affected By Job Losses with $4 Million Funds Set Up Starting 15 Nov
As we all know that the current unemployment rate is highest since 2009, where the pandemic is doing more severe damage to business around Singapore. Therefore, the government has set up a $4 Million Fund to help households with unemployed family members who are affected by the pandemic and are currently jobless. This fund will provide those eligible households with a $500 payout to them throughout this rough time. The payout is a one-time payout of $500 and is aimed at Singaporeans who are aged 21 years and above who are currently jobless.
This payout came from a fund set up by Ngee Ann Kongsi (NAK) and CDC which DPM Heng Swee Keat and 5 district mayors are also CDC Chairman launched this programme on 2nd November. So hopefully by this fund, those who are affected will be more relief for a short time being.
