One lucky resident who lives at Bedok North, Dennis Koh has happened to catch a rare sighting of Kingfisher at his neighbourhood where usually these birds are seen on reservoirs park or near water parks. Plus, this Kingfisher was sawed preying on 3 cockroaches in Bedok.
However, some netizen expresses their concert that the pesticides used in the estate might have affected the bird on its feeding habits. The Collared Kingfisher are one of the 10th most recorded bird species in Singapore and this Collared Kingfisher has a distinct and gorgeous blue and white plumage.
