Novena Traffic Junctions Change to 2 Split T-Junction At Moulmein Road end and Newton Road Ends
Novena Traffic Junction will Split into 2 junctions starting 18 October for underpasses North-South Corridor works, where motorists will see changes in the major cross T-junction on Thomson Road intersects with Newton Road and Moulmein Road.
The road reconfiguration will start at 8 pm on 17 Oct (Saturday) and it will finish at 10 am on 18 Oct (Sunday), and starting from Sunday onwards motorist will expect delays to their journeys along these roads and drivers are advised to take note on signage on the group for guidance on this affected road.
Meanwhile, the 2 pedestrian underpasses will be shut in 2021 for some major changes also. These underpasses are Novena MRT to Goldhill Centre and United Square will be close in the 1st quarter next year. While underpass connects VElocity@Novena Square to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore’s Revenue House will be shut in the 2nd quarter of next year.
The Bus Stop in front of Velocity@Novena Square will also be relocated to 70m up the road to Royal Square. Once this process completed, motorists will enjoy a smoother and faster journey which will alleviate the heavy traffic on the Central Expressway and along Thomson and Marymount roads.
