U.S Study Found that Vitamin D can reduce Risk of Covid-19

U.S Study Found that Vitamin D can reduce Risk of Covid-19

According to a report by the foreign media Deutsche News Agency, a study by Boston University School of Medicine in the United States shows that if patients suffering from new coronary pneumonia have sufficient vitamin D reserves in their bodies, their chances of death or severe illness will be greatly reduced.

Researchers at Boston University School of Medicine analyzed the blood samples of 235 hospitalized patients with new coronary pneumonia and found that those patients with “vitamin D sufficient” in their bodies “have significantly reduced the risk of adverse clinical outcomes.”

This research was published in the journal “Public Library of Science Biology”. The researchers said that this is “direct evidence” that a sufficient amount of vitamin D can “reduce” the “complication” of the new coronary pneumonia infection. According to the report, this analysis shows that patients with sufficient vitamin D have a “51.5% reduction in the chance of death” compared with patients classified as vitamin D “deficiency”.

In addition, another study conducted by the University of Chicago on 489 patients recently found that patients with insufficient vitamin D are “almost twice as likely to be positive for new coronary pneumonia” compared with others.

Researchers even stated that if people take enough vitamin D, the risk of contracting new coronary pneumonia can be greatly reduced by 54%. He said that vitamin D is sufficient and can effectively resist viral infections. In addition, adequate vitamin D will increase the possibility of fighting the flu and other respiratory diseases.

Of the vitamin D needed by the human body, 90% of it needs to be obtained from the sun. The skin produces vitamin D3 by obtaining ultraviolet rays from the sun, and the body converts vitamin D3 into active vitamins.

However, the public can also get vitamin D through other supplements such as fish liver oil. In any case, it must be noted that vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. It can be stored in our liver and fat, and is directly involved. The process of body metabolism and excretion takes longer than water-soluble vitamins. If you blindly supplement some fat-soluble vitamins daily, it is likely to cause poisoning.

Therefore, people should pay attention when supplementing vitamins A, D, E, and K. They must be supplemented in a targeted manner. It is best to have the guidance of professional doctors and nutritionists. Do not supplement them blindly, so as not to bring some bad health. Impact.
