You can now look forward to a less congested Lornie Road where it is officially open for public use now! It’s previously known as the Bukit Brown Road, the new Lornie Highway which runs parallel to the Lornie Road will serve southbound motorists travelling between Braddell Road and surrounding roads towards the PIE, Adam and Farrer Road.
Take note that the northbound highway (Phase 2) towards MacRitchie Viaduct will open later in the first quarter next year. So you need to bare with the traffic first
Also some of the changes that you need to take note:
- Motorists who are travelling to PIE/Farrer Road/Kheam Hock Road are to use the new Lornie Highway to reach their destinations.
- Motorists travelling to the residential area along Lornie Road are to use the new vehicular underpass along the slip road after Andrew Road.
- A temporary road will be available to connect traffic from Lornie Road to the new southbound Lornie Highway.
- A new bus stop will be added along Lornie Highway before Kheam Hock Road. Five of the seven bus services that are currently plying the southbound Lornie Road will be diverted to the new southbound Lornie Highway. All seven buses will be calling at this new bus stop.
Make sure you utilise this new highway to avoid the congestion!
