Two Full Moons Will Appear In One Month, Which One Of It Is Called Rare Blue Moon Sights

This year’s Halloween will have the astronomical spectacle “Blue Moon” once in 19 years! The blue moon is a relatively rare astronomical phenomenon. When there are 4 full moons in a quarter, the third full moon is called the “blue moon” and this is this phenomenon of “4 full moons in a quarter” every 2 or 3 years.

Astronomers gave it a romantic and mysterious name “Blue Moon”.

There will be two full moons in October. Except for the first full moon on Mid-Autumn Festival, the second full moon will appear on October 31. The public can see the full “blue moon” with naked eyes on that night. “Blue Moon” is a rare astronomical phenomenon, which means that the second full moon that appears in the same month can be viewed directly without any special astronomical equipment. It only appears once in 2 to 3 years.

Affected by the calculation of the calendar, this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival (August 15th in the lunar calendar) and Halloween (September 15th in the lunar calendar) happen to fall in October, so there will be two full moons in October, and the second full moon in the same month will be It is called the “blue moon” phenomenon, which is also the origin of the English proverb “Once in a blue moon”, meaning it is rare and rare in a lifetime. Therefore, the “blue moon” phenomenon has nothing to do with the color of the moon. However, if there is a serious fire that day, resulting in dust and smoke in the atmosphere, generally the full moon may appear blue under reflection. This year’s “Blue Moon” phenomenon goes hand-in-hand with Halloween. People may wish to look up at this beautiful scenery while celebrating the festival.
