Marina Bay Mid-Autumn Festival Lantern Show Is Here From 18 Sept – 4 Oct

The Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, and Gardens by the Bay has prepared a different kind of surprise this time “The Gardens By The Bay Mid-Autumn Festival”. The theme of this “The Gardens By The Bay Mid-Autumn Festival” event is a family reunion and community unity, and six major lighting decorations with beautiful traditional stories are displayed.

This event will last from September 18th to October 4th in one breath. This Mid-Autumn Festival will not only include colorful lantern shows, but also wonderful online activities. Ensure that everyone can watch and play whether they are at home or online.

“Hanging Colourful Lanterns” is composed of 400 traditional cellophane lanterns. It has gathered 600 people to work together and embodies the theme of community unity in this Mid-Autumn Festival. This is a graceful corridor made up of 1500 lanterns. The most special thing is that it was made by the community and Gardens by the Bay staff.

Online activities

In addition to the light show, “The Gardens By The Bay Mid-Autumn Festival” also intimately prepared online activities for everyone. Between 9.18 and 10.4, everyone can log on to the official website at home and watch the lights and performances under the guidance of a virtual tour. There are “Autumn Rhyme” brought by the famous flute player Xu Kaixiang, and “Autumn Wind” by dancers Zheng Long and Li Ruimin.

 The online activities of “The Gardens By The Bay Mid-Autumn Festival” are not only for viewing but also for you to participating. For example, you can wear an apron at home, make snowy mooncakes, and learn to use a red rope to tie a Chinese knot that symbolizes good luck and wealth. 

Of course, there is an essential activity during the Mid-Autumn Festival-lantern riddles. You can also guess lantern riddles online, and you can get gifts. Other activities include coloring, crafting, and poem writing. These online activities can be viewed on the website gardensbythebay.com.sg/midautumn from 9.18 to 10.4 .
