SDA Officer Fired, Apologised After Misuse Position To Solicit Favours From Staff In Mall
A Safe Distancing Ambassador (SDA) who has been violating and misusing his position after soliciting favours from the staff at a shopping mall for treatment has been fired from his service. This incident which happens when the CCTV footage was shared on a FB page last week. Where this SDA came every day to disturb the staff and terrorising to take a photo and write reports if they breach measures.
SDA after acknowledging the misconduct and has apologised to the affected parties including the staff and owner of the affected store. ESG will also continue to investigate and assess if further action is required on this matter.
“Based on our preliminary investigation, the SDA was found to have behaved unprofessionally and misused his position to solicit favours from a store in the mall, in exchange for preferential treatment during surveillance checks. “Following the notification of suspension, the SDA was removed from service on August 20.
