New Harry Potter Theme Park is Opening In 2023 at Tokyo
With the closure of Tokyo’s 94 years old amusement park Toshimaen, we can’t help but excited at the same time when the Harry Potter New Theme park which begins once Toshimaen officially closed on Aug 31. While setting a completion for the Harry Potter theme park in the first half of 2023.
The park will be modeled on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London where visitors can view production sets, get up-close with props like wands and potions, and meander down the shopping street of Diagon Alley. The Tokyo park, which includes a re-created indoor soundstage and outdoor backlot (fancy terms for film set), will be roughly 30,000 square metres and will take about half a day to explore.
The generation who entered the world of JK Rowling with the Fantastic Beasts franchise won’t be at a loss either, as the park will be dedicated to both the Harry Potter movies and the spin-off series. The ‘beasts’ might even be the very first thing you encounter – park officials have announced that the entrance will include a landscaping area with models of the creatures featured in the magical books.
