S’porean Mom Juggles 3 Kids, Part Time Job and New Business After Husband Apart Due To Job Oversea
A 35-year old Singaporean mom, Janice Tan who she has not seen her husband in almost 5 months’ time now is the longest time they ever separated due to her husband’s need to travel to Indonesia for working purposes. Tan said that due to work commitments, it just doesn’t make sense for him to just come back and serve the quarantine order at the moment.
Tan’s three children, aged eight months, three, and six years old have not taken well to their father’s absence. According to Tan, there are times when they “act up” because they miss their father. On top of caring for her children, Tan also has a partime administrative job and recently just set up her own business.
Luckily for Tan, her helper who has been with the family for over 20 years and is a “loving grandmother” to her children, also helps with caring for them.
“I’ll hang in there! I mean I have to be grateful for a roof over our heads, food to eat, and having my babies and super Bibik with me, right? If you’re having a tough time, give yourself a break. Cry it out if you need to. And let’s deal with this shitty situation together! #togetherwecan”
