Passenger Gives Middle Finger and Spits At SBS Transit Bus Captain After Refuse To Wear Mask Properly
One male passenger who refused to comply with the rules was leading to a heated argument with the bus captain on Aug 8, at the bus stop of Block 245 Bishan Street 22. A witness says that she saw the driver approach the man sitting at the back of the bus and advising him to wear a mask properly which then it took up to 3 times and the man still refuses to listen again then the bust driver went back to his seat and informed the operation control center.
The man approached the driver and started arguing which force the bus to park by the roadside and quarrel for about 8 minutes. The passenger eventually left the bus after the driver threatened to call the police. However, before he left, he told the bus driver: “Believe it or not, I will make you lose your rice bowl.” The passenger even spewing profanities, showing middle finger sign and spitting at the driver twice.
The police report will be lodged against the man and SBS transit will share the relevant CCTV footage with the police.
