240g Heroin and 500 Ecstacy Pills Found Inside 2 Pumpkin in Clementi
On a recent operation from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) after following a suspect man bringing a basket containing vegetables and produce up to a residential block in the area and were arrested when he returned to the ground floor with the basket. About 240g of heroin and around 500 ecstasy pills were found hidden inside the 2 pumpkins that were seized along Clementi Avenue 5 on Aug 3.
The 64-year-old man was arrested and during the operation around $30,000 worth of drugs were seized in total. After the man was arrested, CNB search the unit and found an additional 0.3g of heroin, around 0.5g of ‘Ice’ and other drug paraphernalia were also recovered, apart from the pumpkins. CNB highlighted that the total amount of heroin seized from the operation was enough to feed 114 abusers for a week.
Investigations into the drug activities of the suspect are ongoing.
