Fighters Jets Roaring The Skies Above 8 Hospitals On NDP As Tribute To First-Liner
This year, on the incoming National Day Parade, 6 F-15 fighters jets will be flying over eight hospitals as a part of paying tribute to Singapore’s Frontline healthcare staff and essential workers.
Called by the name of Roar of Unity, these jets will be roaming over these few hospitals are Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Sengkang General Hospital, Changi General Hospital, Khoo Teck Puat General Hospital, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, National University Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and Singapore General Hospital. Afterward, the jets will also make three additional passes over the heartlands of Singapore to “bring” the Roar of Unity to Singaporeans at home, NDP2020’s Flying Display Marshal, Lieutenant Colonel Tan Boon Hong further added.
The course of flying will begin at 10.45 over the Padang and will last around 30 minutes which will be covering about 170 nautical miles or 315km with jets flying at a height between 1500-2500 feet. There will also be temporary restricted areas to be expanded during the flyover period of time which are the conduct of all aerial activities including kite-flying, hoisting of captive balloons, and flying of unmanned aircraft including drones into and within the temporary Restricted Area, unless authorized by CAAS, is strictly prohibited. The prohibition will last from 8.55 am to 11.30 am and covers the following areas
So remember to look-out for these fighter jets as they roar above the skies during National Day Parade.
