Secret Society 8 Members Chanted Gang Slogan During Funeral Service
For those who were born in the late 80s – 90s, you might have watched the famous Hong Kong Movie called Young and Dangerous which the stories are about the underground society from Hong Kong where they are fighting for places around Hong Kong famous area such as disco, night clubs or even watching over the streets at nights and marking their own turf.
On Thursday (July 30), eight-man was charged on the court due to they have been chanting gang slogans during a funeral service held at Mandai Crematorium service hall last year. The eight-man who age between 22 to 45 will be charged for being members of an unlawful society.
From the police investigation, it reveals that the 8 men have chanted their own gang slogans to show off their secret society affiliation during the ceremonial time on August 24, 2019. The offense of being members of unlawful society carries the fine of not exceeding $5,000 and/or a jail term of up to 3 years.
Police forces also mentioned that they have zero tolerance towards secret society activities and will not hesitate to take action against those who choose to be associated with gangs and blatantly disregard the law.
