Pritam Singh Donate Out 50% Added New Salary To Aid Low Income Resident and Grassroot Cause
The Worker’s Party Chief, Pritam Singh announced he will be directing his new draw twice salary as the Member of Parliament (MP) salary for this role as Leader of the Opposition (LO) at roughly $32,000 to help low-income residents in WP-held wards and also another charity and party causes too.
This money will go to WP-related cause such as:
- Helping low-income residents in WP-held wards – Hougang SMC, Aljunied SMC, and Sengkang GRC – the money will go into the Workers’ Party Community Fund and/or the WP Grassroots Committee
- Community programs to serve the WP-held wards
- Charitable or worthy causes
- Workers’ Party specific needs
From what we can see, Mr. Singh seems very happy serving as LO on his current MP Salary of $16,000, and this shows that money isn’t everything and it is his priority to help Singaporean first.
