S’pore Tree Kangaroo Couple Welcome New Born Baby Joey
The Singapore Zoo where the home of wildlife and also a part of the conservation and education effort of large majestic elephant and also littlest creatures of the earth.
But for the Singapore Zoo, with their latest happy news which is the first time parenthood for a pair of Goodfellow’s tree kangaroo named Makaia and Nupela after they are giving birth to their latest baby during the current Covid-19 outbreak.
The baby Joey which are currently surviving in his mum’s pouch and are expected to mature for about 8 months’ time. His head was first spotted peeking out from his mother’s pouch curiously on Tuesday (7 Jul) under the care of WRS staff. it will usually take about 3 months for Joey to fully emerge and walk independently on his own.
We wish the young baby joey all the best in growing up strong & healthy. Perhaps his feisty parents also deserve a baby bonus for contributing an heir to Singapore too.
