Man Arrested Within 4 Hours After Robbing 61-Year-Old Taxi Driver
The Singapore police forces have arrested a 37-year-old man for being suspected in the involvement of a case of robbery. The man who was a passenger aboard a taxi who has allegedly robbed the 61-year old taxi driver of $80 along Woodland Drive 75 on July 25.
The arrest was done after the investigation with the aid of images from police cameras by the Woodlands Police Division and managed to nab this suspect within the four hours of the reports. Where $42 cash was recovered from the man who was also charged with drug-related offenses.
Currently, preliminary investigations are undergoing revealing that the suspect has committed to other theft cases too. The suspect of robber will be charged in court on July 27 with robbery. The offense carries an imprisonment term of not less than three years and up to 14 years, and a minimum of 12 strokes of caning.
